A screw-in, cartridge-style, pilot-operated, spool-type, hydraulic directional valve.
When in neutral the PD16-S61N allows flow between ports ➁ and ➂, and between ports ➃ and ➄. On remote pilot signal at ➀, the valve’s spool shifts to allow flow between ➂ and ➃ while blocking ➁ and ➄. The spring chamber is vented to the tank through port ➅. The vented spring chamber allows the valve to be fully pressurized at ports ➀, ➁, ➂, ➃ and ➄ without affecting required pilot pressure. Pressure at port ➅ will affect required pilot pressure.
