Savery patented design for steam engine (Fire Engine) to free mines of water.

The Newcomen Engine was designed operating within the Savery patent.

Thomas Savery dies and the “Proprietors of the Invention for Raising Water by the Impellent Force of Fire” was established.

The “Fire Engine” is demonstrated at the Royal Society.

Newcomen Engine deployed near Dudley Castle, closely followed by coalmines in Warwickshire and Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

William Edward Savery starts a business for the design and manufacture of marine steam engine

Fisher, Savery & Colbourn manufacture rest pointed iron, brass and copper screws.

Triple expansion engine installed on “The King” steamboat used to serve the rivers Avon and Severn.

Business becomes known as T A Savery and Co after William Edward Savery's grandfather Thomas Arthur Savery.

Savery was commissioned by Fellows Morton and Clayton to install an engine and boiler onto “The Swan” narrow boat.

Annual piston metering pump adapted for oil hydraulic applications a version of which was used on the Rolls Royce Merlin engine to operate the undercarriage of aircraft.

Thomas Savery Pumps Limited established to focus on the sale of pumps.

Annular piston metering pump developed for the extrusion of artificial silk.

A range of variable capacity pumps for feed control on machines tools and feed control on kilns were developed.

Relationship formed with Viking Chase in Pittsburgh USA who became US distributor for the Savery range of pumps.

Commissioned by S C Meredith to develop wire winding machines to enable wire to layer evenly onto large drums using variable speeds dependant on the wire type.

Fuel injection for oil fired boilers and lubrication for various machines.

Savery expanded into additional factory space.

System developed for Plastic Coating Limited in Guildford. This was a variable speed system to dip wellington boots into powder to coat the inside of the boots.

Chemical metering for the expanded foam (polystyrene) industry

Savery predominately designed and manufactured bespoke hydraulic systems

Savery Meter developed for measuring oil usage in residential developments.

Savery developed an interest in DC electric power packs, hydraulic cartridge valves and manifolds.

Imported miniature power units AC/DC from John S Barnes.

1991

Savery was awarded BS5750-1 making them the first hydraulics company in the UK to register for this Quality certification.

Began production of AC/DC power units.

Savery become UK distributor for Hydraforce

Approved to work for the MOD for hydraulic systems, components and hydraulic ground support equipment including repair installation and commissioning.

Servo hydraulic test facility installed for Rover Group

Ground support trolley for Lynx helicopters

Savery installed a hydraulic ring main and aircraft hydraulic interface manifolds at BAE Warton. Since then Savery equipment has been used for pre flight testing for every UK produced Euro fighter/Typhoon.
